Madison to support Cytech training in Ireland

Posted on in Business News , Cycles News

Madison is teaming up with Cytech and the Rediscovery Centre in Ireland, to offer a first-class bicycle mechanic training facility by providing a full Park Tool workshop.

Madison

The Rediscovery Centre is the National Centre for a Circular Economy and since 2004 has been committed to Ireland’s sustainability ambitions.

In April 2024, the Rediscovery Centre partnered with Cytech as the exclusive provider of Cytech Accredited Bicycle Technician Training in Ireland.

To help both Cytech and the Rediscovery Centre offer the best possible training to Irish bicycle mechanics, Madison has supported the Rediscovery Centre with a full Park Tool workshop and tools.

Park Tool is a leading bicycle tool manufacturer in the world, meaning that all training at the new facility will be completed with some of the best tools in the business.

As the number of people riding bikes continues to grow and the cycling industry continues to innovate and change, having the right technical and legislative information is more important than ever.

For local bike shops, the Cytech qualification is not only essential for safety and workshop efficiency but also to offer customers a trusted and verified experience when visiting a store.

Madison CEO Dominic Langan said: “Knowledge is power and leads to opportunity and advancement. We are in an ever-changing market which is becoming more and more technical and the importance of a professionally trained bicycle mechanic to the success of the industry overall has never been greater.

“Cytech qualifications in the UK and other countries has long been seen as an essential and recognised accreditation when recruiting a mechanic.

“It recognises and proves the skills of the mechanic, enhances their value and protects your business and the safety of your customers.

Madison has been a long-term supporter of Cytech and Langan said the distributor and its team are “delighted” to have been able to support the Rediscovery Centre.

He added: “It is a fantastic facility, and we will be putting our resources into promoting Cytech to all our customers in Ireland.”
