Job Description
Oma Bikes, a community-focused cycling store in Fulham, London, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bike Mechanic to join our team. As a Bike Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of bicycles, ensuring customer satisfaction and providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities:

Bicycle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as tune-ups, wheel truing, brake adjustments, and gear adjustments.

Repairs: Diagnose and repair various bicycle components, including frames, forks, wheels, drivetrains, and brakes.

Overhauls: Conduct complete overhauls of bicycles, including stripping, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling components.

Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs, offering advice on bike maintenance, and building positive relationships.

Teaching Bike Maintenance: Teaching classes and sessions on bicycle maintenance to the public in the workshop and to classes in schools.

Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records of bicycle parts and tools.

Shop Maintenance: Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
Skills/Experience Required

Proven experience as a Bike Mechanic or similar role.

Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of bicycle components and repair techniques.

Cytech 2 certification or equivalent.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent customer service skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
