WorkNest has provided ACT members with essential resources covering statutory employment rates and the upcoming Employment Rights Bill, with the updates aimed at helping independent cycling retailers stay informed and compliant with evolving legal requirements.
From April, new statutory employment rates, including the National Minimum Wage (NMW), National Living Wage (NLW), Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), and statutory parental leave pay, will take effect. Additionally, neonatal leave is being introduced.
The Employment Rights Bill is expected to gain Royal Assent by summer. Proposed changes include an enhanced sick pay system, revised collective redundancy rules, and strengthened family-friendly rights.
