Welcome to 2021 - A message from the ACT

Posted on in Business News , Cycles News

The ACTNew Year is a new beginning and 2021 brings us hope with vaccinations, hope that restrictions will be loosened, hope that the Brexit deal will enable us to move forward and hope for our industry that the amount of cyclists on the roads will continue to be on the up.

In 2020, in response to COVID-19, the ACT adapted communications to provide the industry with much needed support as soon as we were informed. Initially COVID-19 updates were sent out daily and then weekly from March, the frequency of ACT news bulletins was increased and flash updates continue to be sent out for all important news to support the sector to inform, provide advice and collate useful links for all cycle businesses. We transitioned to help in the same way with the EU Exit, informing the trade of all relevant updates and the steps that needed to be taken to prepare. We are also available five days a week to answer all of your queries.

Our updates continue to be well-received amongst members with feedback being overwhelmingly positive, many have said that the COVID-19 updates alone make the annual membership fee worthwhile.

In 2021 we are striving to improve further still. We plan on continuing to update the trade with all vital news, as well as adapting to improve and benefit the trade even more by creating more COVID-19 related content about how you and your business can thrive during these tough yet opportunistic times.

Here at the ACT we are optimistic that the upcoming year will be one that is ultimately positive for the industry. While we are still not out of the woods yet, in terms of both nationwide issues and those more closely related to the cycle sector, we can now carry on into 2021 feeling prepared to come out as an industry stronger and more ‘essential' than ever.
