Cycling friendly headphones win consumer award

Posted on in Brands & Products News , Cycles News , Outdoor News

AfterShokz Sport headphones have won the prestigious Wall Street Journal Consumer Electronics 2012 Technology Innovation Award and are now seeking approved UK retailers to stock these innovative products.

AfterShokz Sport headphones are designed to enable everyone who participates in outdoor activities - cycling, jogging, hiking - to comfortably and safely listen to their portable music.

With AfterShokz Sport headphones, there is nothing in, on or covering the ears. Featuring military special ops bone conduction technology, the headphones sit comfortably in front of the ear, delivering sound through the listener's cheekbones to the inner ear.

AfterShokz Sport headphones provide listeners with a fabulous stereophonic audio experience while also allowing them to hear ambient noises such as oncoming traffic, car horns, ambulances or other warning noises, potentially preventing accidents caused by headphones and earbuds that block out these sounds.

AfterShokz Sport bone conduction headphones are far more comfortable and stable than earbuds and are the safest way to listen and play on the planet.

The Aftershokz range currently includes the new and improved gen2 AfterShokz Sportz 2 and AfterShokz Sportz M2 (with in-line mic for use with all smartphones). New lines including a bluetooth headset are also in development.

The range was launched in May 2012 to great customer and trade reviews.

"Easily the best bone conduction headphones currently on the market. Sound quality is better than expected. Safer than traditional headphones. Comfortable for long periods of use. Sweat and water-resistant. Comes with a nice, soft carrying case." - Wired.com, May 2012

Sizzler - Hottest New Product. "You can safely listen to music while chatting in a bunch" Cycling Weekly May 2012

"Your priorities are different when you want headphones to use while training. We were very pleased to be able to hear the sound of traffic - and even conversations between passing pedestrians - as we ran; having that awareness of your surroundings can be a lifesaver." - ExpertReviews.co.uk, June 2012

"Good sound quality for safety-conscious riders, with mobile phone functionality" - BikeRadar.com , July 2012

Currently the Aftershokz range is available online via the Aftershokz website aftershokz.co.uk , but exclusive UK distributor Pinpoint Consumer Electronics, are looking for approved retailers to stock the products and get them out to cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts across the UK.

Pinpoint will support their retail partners with marketing and sales initiatives. They are high-street friendly and margin protective.

If you are interested in stocking Aftershokz and offering your customers the only safer way to listen to music whilst enjoying outdoor activities, then contact Rodney Annet on 01606 558428; rod@pinpointce.co.uk
