Madison, the UK's leading cycle parts distributor, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the Sales team.
Val Hollingswoth joins Madison as a dedicated Account Manager for the Republic of Ireland, with a responsibility for P&A and Apparel sales in the region.
As the daughter of a Cycle Dealer, Val started her career in the cycle industry at an early age, working in the family business during School & College holidays from about the age of 10. This eventually led to Val being approached by Raleigh to join Telesales team. Since then, Val has represented a number of Cycle Wholsale Companies in Ireland in a Sales capacity.
With a short career break for a few years to concentrate on her family Val is back and ready to take on a new and exciting challenge : "I am a Qualified Science and Maths teacher and even with about 20 weeks holidays for teachers in Ireland I still prefer to sell bike bits - not Science! I am delighted that Madison have given me this great opportunity to come back to work in an exciting and challenging role. Thanks Madison!"
Mike Brunsden is the second new addition to the sales team . Mike will be will be joining the P&A team and will be based in the Central England region. Mike has a strong technical background, having worked at both Giant and TF Tuned Shox in recent times. A Skilled mechanic, Mike has worked with some of the cycle industry's top athletes, as well as helping to develop bikes for across a broad spectrum of non-pro athletes.
Outside of work, Mike is a racing cyclist within the road, mountain and cyclocross disciplines "but with some motorcycle racing thrown in for good measure!"
"I'm really excited about new role with Madison" said Mike, when we asked him about coming back to Madison for his second tenure. "I'm super-pleased to be working with the best product lines within cycling. It's great to see some of the old faces still here, and many haven't changed a bit!"
Madison are proud to welcome both Val and Mike to the team and wish them every success in their new roles.
