The Startups 100 Index, powered by Sage and run by Startups.co.uk, is the UK’s longest-running index of emerging businesses and has been highlighting high-growth startups for the past eighteen years.

Bikebook was ranked among the top 100 startups for 2026, recognising its role in modernising bike workshop operations through smarter digital tools.

Founded in 2020 by Jake Fieldsend, Ryan Elson and Sam Elson, Bikebook connects cyclists and workshops through a streamlined booking and management platform built specifically for the cycling industry.

The business has grown rapidly in the UK and overseas, with expansion into North America and Australia and backing from industry bodies including the ACT.

Co-founder of Bikebook, Jake Fieldsend, said: “Seeing Bikebook featured on The Startups 100 Index is incredibly rewarding. What started as an idea to simplify and strengthen the bike industry is now being recognised on a national stage. This reflects the dedication of our team and the trust of the businesses that use Bikebook every day. We’re excited to keep building tools that help the cycling industry grow, connect, and thrive.”

The Startups 100 Index showcases young UK businesses demonstrating technological innovation, strong financial performance, market disruption, and a growing customer base, with the Index spanning all industries and has previously highlighted future household names including Monzo and Deliveroo.

Editor of Startups.co.uk, Zohra Huda, said: “Once again, the Startups 100 Index is proof that the UK’s entrepreneurial heartbeat isn’t confined to the capital—it’s booming across the regions. From the Shetlands to Southampton, Brighton to Bangor, UK founders are showing immense ingenuity, proving that brilliant ideas and business success depend on spirit and strategy, not just your postcode. Our Index is a wake-up call that Brighton is the new engine of innovation.”

As an ACT service partner, Bikebook offers members access to its Workshop Management platform, designed to help retailers increase sales by managing bookings, customer records, job tracking and invoicing in one integrated system.

ACT members can find out more and explore the service by visiting their service page here.
