Posted on in Business News , Cycles News

Cytech's Australian training provider The Bicycle Academy,  which delivers their courses in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, paid visits to UK Cytech centres late last year for a series of "stimulating" discussions on a number of key topics within the cycle technician training and skills sector.

Cytech Visit

Among the stops for The Bicycle Academy were visits to Activate Cycle Academy in Oxford, Spokes People in Milton Keynes and Bike for Good in Glasgow. Themes discussed included quality assurance, syllabus discussions and course content, common challenges, apprenticeships, fresh ideas, as well as sharing passions and motivations for mechanics training.

Posting on LinkedIn, Activate Cycle Academy were hugely positive about the visit, saying: "Demonstrating the full international appeal of the Cytech training and accreditation scheme, the two largest Cytech training providers from opposite sides of the world came together in Oxford earlier today.

"It was a pleasure to welcome Cath Spratley from Australia’s The Bicycle Academy (AU) to our Oxford workshop. It’s great to connect with other training providers as we continually strive to keep Cytech at the forefront of bicycle technical training."

Bike for Good shared its "delight" in welcoming The Bicycle Academy, saying: "A global exchange of cycling expertise! Cytech qualifications are not just a UK benchmark for professional bike mechanics - they're a truly global standard in the cycling industry, recognised and respected worldwide. Cytech is levelling up mechanics to deliver a top-quality service and keep the wheels turning for cyclists everywhere.

"We’re proud to play a part in delivering these industry-leading qualifications and to share insights with incredible organisations like The Bicycle Academy. Thanks for visiting, your passion for cycling and training is commendable!"
