ACT to deliver talk on challenges and opportunities in UK cycle industry as iceBike* seminars announced

The ACT is set to deliver a seminar at both the North and South iceBike* events discussing the current challenges and opportunities facing the UK cycle industry.

The seminar, which is among eight talks announced by cycling accessory specialist Madison at iceBike*'s Manchester and London events, will be taking on hot topics facing the bicycle industry and led by the association's director Jonathan Harrison.

i. Other key seminars include the highly anticipated 'State of the Industry' panel hosted by cycling publication BikeBiz, featuring industry leaders such as Shimano Europe President Marc van Rooij, Park Tool CEO Eric Hawkins, and Bikeability CEO Emily Cherry and the ACT’s Jonathan Harrison.

Additional highlights include a seminar from Bikebook on the practical benefits of using software in a bike shop or bike repair business, as well as visual merchandising ‘dos and don’ts’ from Madison’s Product Promoter Team.

The ACT will also be exhibiting at both events, offering opportunities for networking and conversations with members and other attendees throughout the shows.

Jonathan Harrison, Director of the ACT, said: "We are very excited to be among such inspiring company at the iceBike seminars this year and look forward to talking about what we feel are hugely important topics within the cycling industry, particularly the challenges and opportunities that are set to shape the landscape ahead for independent cycling retailers and the industry at large."

The ACT seminar is scheduled for 12.10pm to 12.30pm on Sunday 9th February at Manchester Velodrome (also on Monday 10th February with timings subject to change), as well as the same time on Thursday 13th February at Lee Valley Velopark in London (also on Friday 14th February with timings subject to change).
