Just over a week to go until iceBike* 2023 opens it's doors, ACT to exhibit with service partners

Posted on in Cycles News

ACT at iceBike 2020The ACT will be joined by key service partners when leading trade show iceBike* returns as an in-person event for the first time since 2020 on Sunday 5th March and Monday 6th March at the Manchester Velodrome and Thursday 9th March and Friday 10th March at London's Tobacco Dock.

Joining ACT at the events will be Tyl by NatWest, the ACT’s new card processing partner, whose service makes it easier for customers to pay in a fast, secure way. With business costs rising Tyl by NatWest are offering ACT members several benefits including a £120 sign up bonus* as a Tyl statement credit; no card machine hire fees for the first six months; reduced card transaction fees for businesses with less than £50k turnover from 1.65% to 1.5%, and the ability to keep cashflow flowing with next business-day payments.

Tyl by NatWest will be hosting a seminar entitled 'Open Banking and what it means for cycle businesses' on all days of both shows, from midday until 12.20pm. In addition account managers will be present to speak to retailers and answer questions.

Cytech at iceBike Also attending with the ACT will be Cytech, the internationally recognised training and accreditation scheme for bicycle technicians, joined at the show by Activate Cycle Academy for the North edition and Spokes People for the South edition, on hand to discuss your training needs and how Cytech courses can help you staff and business.

Alongside the practical courses delivered through Cytech’s providers, the online Theory one course is a key qualification for all staff within a cycles business. Able to be completed anywhere and any time, we believe that every specialist cycle trade employee should be armed with the knowledge and skills to better understand how the business is run, manage customer expectations, work safely and efficiently in the retail environment and even carry out some of the more basic workshop activities – all this in time for the peak season!

ACT members get preferential pricing, and you can even try the course for free at tryme.cytechtheoryone.co.uk

Finally ACT staff will also be available to talk about Retail Finance and how using the options as a sales tool is as important in these times as it has ever been - consumer demand to spread the cost of purchasing bikes over a longer period is currently bigger than ever. ACT’s retail finance scheme – in partnership with V12 Retail Finance - delivers the highest conversion/sales rate of any similar scheme and is worth over £100m p.a. to the cycle industry. The ACT work with V12 Retail Finance to provide all-important market knowledge and to ensure their finance products – including integration - are just the right fit for the cycle trade.

Come and speak to the ACT about any and all of the above, as well as any of the other membership services including business insurance, consumer promotions, pensions, legal advice, and others.
