Are you an independent bike mechanic & looking for a base?
The Family Bike Club, a non-profit family cycling social enterprise project, is seeking to collaborate with a proficient cycle mechanic to offer repair services to the passing public from their base at a prominent train station in Enfield, north London.
There would also be scope for works to maintain the small fleet of family equipment (family cargo bikes, bike trailers, kids bikes etc.) that they are looking to make available via an ultra-accessible "bike library" hire for the local community, as well as getting involved in the project more widely in the future as it grows.
They now have the support from the local council and have also secured local climate action grant funds, following on from a successful crowdfunding campaign.
Visit their website; https://www.thefamilybikeclub.com or their crowdfund page; https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/p/the-family-bike-club for more information.
The space on offer is available immediately. If interested please contact Luke Balnave by phone; 07814 634 382, email; lukebalnave@hotmail.com, or via the contact form on their website.
