Posted on in Business News , Cycles News

As part of their support for Local Bike Shop Day, Cyclescheme ran a competition for the local bike shop with the most social media noise, with the chance to win a £150 Restaurant Choice voucher!

The store competition winners are:

  1. Aztecs Bikes (London)
  2. Belhaven Bikes (Dunbar)
  3. Brampton Valley Cycles Ltd (Northamptonshire)
  4. Cycles UK- (Basildon)
  5. Pedal Progression (Bristol),
  6. Pronto Bikes (Frome)

People who purchased a bike through Cyclescheme on the day were automatically entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a £250 cycling voucher, courtesy of Cyclescheme. Cyclescheme will be contacting all winners directly this week.

A spokesperson for Pedal Progression said:

"As a small mountain bike business that offers many other additional services we jumped on the opportunity to further engage with our customers. The 'ask me anything' we did on Instagram stories in the run up worked really well and helped us to understand more about our customers needs and how we can best meet them. The day itself saw increased footfall and real buzz around the shop, community is why we do what we do, so it was great that it bought people out to see us."

Brampton Valley Cycles added:

"Local bike shop day allows us to promote all the great things about cycling to both our existing and potential new customers, all backed up by the support of industry, and the more we can promote the benefits of cycling to a wider audience the better."

Neil McGuigan, Sr. Manager, Product Implementation at Cyclescheme, said:

“Congratulations to our retail competition prize winners this year. It is fantastic to see the level of involvement in this year’s Local Bike Shop Day across the UK! Local bike shops and independent bike retailers are an important part of the cycle to work ecosystem and the cycling industry and why we continue to support this cause year on year.”

Freewheel prize winners to be announced next week!
