ATG Training deliver Cytech assessments in Scotland

Posted on in Cycles News

ATG Training LogoErik, Orkney CyclesAt the beginning of July ATG Training visited Scotland to carry out a number of Cytech technical two assessments, enabling experienced bike mechanics living and working there to gain the industry standard qualification within their own working environment.

The trip went as far north as Aviemore as well as visits to the main cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. It even included an assessment for a candidate who had travelled down from the Orkney Isles.

The ATG Training road trips always prove to be worthwhile and hugely successful. Suzanne Read, ATG Training’s Operations Manager, commented “the standard of knowledge, ability, attitude and professionalism was as high as expected and I was happy to provide certification for the guys taking the assessments”.

Ben, Bothy BikesMark, one of the assessment candidates from Biketrax in Edinburgh, had this to add about his experience; “Suzanne is incredible. Without giving us an easy ride, she set us at ease, allowed for comfortable discussion, and established a good workshop atmosphere. At the same time she shared from her obviously vast practical experience. Unexpectedly, I found that I learnt new things during the assessment - thank you”.

Cytech is the internationally recognised training and accreditation scheme for bicycle technicians delivering training and promotion of technical skills to the cycle trade and enthusiasts worldwide.

When is the next Scotland trip?

ATG Training are already planning their next trip to Scotland, so if your shop or business missed out on this trip but would like to know more about the next one, please contact them on 01865 550 324 or cycles@activatelearning.ac.uk to register your interest.
