Store Visit: Velorution, London

Posted on in Cycles News

In the heart of London's West End, just a couple of minutes from the retail mecca of Oxford Street you'll find Velorution, a specialist in European city bikes.

Photos and video below.

Located on Great Titchfield Street and occupying 2000 sqf over 2 floors (workshop and storage in the basement) Velorution was launched 4 years ago by Italian Andrea Casalotti.

The store has the feel of a boutique (or perhaps gallery), with its white washed wooden floors and photography. However the atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming and the bikes on offer would actually be considered "normal" in most other European cities.

There are bikes from Gazelle, Kemper, Christiania cargo bikes, Azor and the wonderful looking Moof from Holland (see pic below), with its top tube integrated solar powered lights. However the best seller - rather unsurprisingly for London - is Brompton.

Velorution also hires Brompton bikes and is very proactive in working with local employers to facilitate cycle-to-work schemes.  www.velorution.biz
