ACT member shop helps charity ride get to Poland

Posted on in Cycles News

Quinns Bike Centre in Liverpool has helped to kick start a group's charity bike ride to Poland in aid of Melanoma UK.

Team Claire's Ride to Poland charity ride will start on 6th September, with a group of cyclists biking from Liverpool to Krakow in memory of 38 year old Claire Culbert who sadly died of skin cancer in December 2013.

The trip was driven by Claire's desire to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp before she died - a journey which she was hoping to take after her last bout of chemotherapy.

The ride will cover over 1000 miles from Liverpool to Krakow and aims to raise £25,000 for Melanoma UK.

Quinns Bike Centre kindly supplied the bikes needed for the journey, with a generous discount to show their support for the event. The shop will also be supporting the Bike to Poland launch party on 2nd May which aims to raise awareness and additional funds for the charity prior to the ride.
