London Bike Show attendance up 19%

Posted on in Cycles News

A combined 45,289 visitors attended the recent Excel show.

The SEAT-sponsored London Bike Show, which ran alongside The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show and the Triathlon Plus Show at ExCel London, attracted a combined total of 45,289 visitors - an increase of 19% vs 2013 and four times the visitation it has in its debut year.

VOS Media has confirmed the show will be back at ExCeL from February 12th to 15th February 2015.

"Delivering a 19 per cent growth year-on-year and a highly targeted audience in excess of over 45,000 visitors is a fantastic result," said Geraldine Reeve, group show director at VOS Media. "This year's Show has already generated in excess of £6 million sales for the cycling industry, a figure which will no doubt continue to grow in the coming months. I'm delighted the Show is performing so well for our exhibitors, sponsors, partners and visitors and look forward to developing the Show further for 2015."

As a returning feature at the London Bike Show, the Cytech Fastest Wrench competition continued to get bigger and better, drawing a record number of participants.

Over the course of the four day show, over 200 participants from both the trade and public gave it their all to try and change an inner tube faster than their peers. Times ranged from just 51 seconds to over 13 minutes, with participants of all ages and abilities reflecting the diversity of the show.

All the photos from the show can be seen over on the Cytech facebook page.

The stand was also offering information and advice on Cytech courses with staff from ATG Training - the leading Cytech training facility in the UK - on hand throughout.
