Sir Chris to showcase HOY at London Bike Show

Posted on in Cycles News

HOY - the new brand of bikes developed by six-time Olympic Champion and eleven-time World Champion, Sir Chris Hoy, will be exhibiting at the 2014 London Bike Show.

The London Bike Show will be the first cycling exhibition HOY is shown at and visitors will be able to try out the entire range, including the latest junior bikes. The bike range is the product of Sir Chris Hoy's 25 years of experience from his back yard to the Olympic podium. It's a project he's been closely involved with through every stage of its development. HOY bikes are available exclusively from Evans Cycles, who have been heavily involved throughout, offering a range of well designed, affordable, high-quality bikes.

Having personally attended the Show in 2013, Sir Chris was keen to take the
opportunity to return, this time with his own range of bikes.

Sir Chris Hoy said: "The London Bike Show is a fantastic exhibition with lots going on throughout the days as well as some of the best brands in cycling on show. For me, the opportunity to be here showcasing what I've been working on for the last couple of years is really exciting and, although I'm slightly biased, I hope people like the bikes as much as I do."

Geraldine Reeve, Director of The London Bike Show added: "We're delighted HOY have chosen to bring their range of bikes to The London Bike Show.

It's a huge compliment to have Sir Chris championing our show following his visit in 2013 and we're looking forward to working closely with both Sir Chris and Evans Cycles to ensure their involvement is a huge success. Our visitors love to see the latest products and HOY offers a superb selection of bikes."

A number of top brands have already signed up to the 2014 Show including Boardman Elite, Continental, Schwalbe and Kinesis. Scott, Giant and Cannondale will also all be exhibiting at the Show for the first time.

The London Bike Show will take place from February 13 - 16 2014, at ExCeL, London, and offers cycling enthusiasts and families an entertaining day out featuring the latest bikes and equipment as well as clothing, Criterium racing, one-to-one fitness assessments, stunt displays and much more. The 2013 event attracted over 38,000 visitors and the organisers are expecting to see a big increase in 2014.

Following the acquisition of VOS Media by Telegraph Media Group in February 2013, VOS Media has launched the Triathlon Plus Show, which will run alongside The London Bike Show in 2014. In partnership with Future, the Show will be aimed at triathletes of all abilities and the organisers are expecting the show to attract an additional 10,000 visitors to the event.

The London Bike Show will also run alongside The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show with one ticket giving visitors access to all 3 events.
