International Cyclefit Symposium at The London Bike Show

Posted on in Cycles News

The annual International Cyclefit Symposium is scheduled to take place during the first 2 days of the 2014 London Bike Show, which is taking place from the 13 - 16 February at ExCel, London.

The ICS is the World's premier multidisciplinary symposium dedicated to bikefitting. Featuring top experts from across the globe the ICS promotes bikefit education and debate in a collegiate, friendly and independent atmosphere. The previous 2 editions have feature renowned speakers from British Cycling, Retul, Trek Bicycle Corporation and Specialized BodyGeometry and have been spectacularly well-received by the industry, with the concept of the event continuing to grow in scale and global stature. Further information on previous editions can be seen here.

The London Bike Show is the UK's largest Cycling exhibition, with over 38,000 visitors attending in 2013, and more expected in 2014. With stands from the largest brands down to innovative start-up companies in the industry, the event promises a thrilling demonstration of what's new in cycling for 2014.

With conference room facilities booked adjoining the main exhibition space, scheduling the ICS during The London Bike Show allows speakers and attendees to fully embrace all aspects of the bike industry - offering them a worldclass education programme and an opportunity to see the latest offerings from cycling companies in just a few short days. All attendees will receive access to The London Bike Show as part of their ICS attendance.

CycleFit Director and Chief Cycling Analyst, Julian Wall, said: "Running the ICS during The London Bike Show offers a truly unique experience to attendees: they are treated to top-class conference facilities and a superb symposium but also have the opportunity to indulge in their love of cycling and see what's going on in the exhibition itself. The Show also gives us a great opportunity to showcase bikefitting to the general public via a stand within the exhibition."

CycleFit, in addition to running the symposium, will also be attending the full 4 days of The London Bike Show and offering bikefit advice and information from their own stand in the main hall. Featuring input from all the major schools of bikefitting, such as Trek Precision Fit and Specialized BodyGeometry, CycleFit hope to deliver an independent and unbiased exposé of bikefitting and cycling analysis to the visiting public.

Tickets to the ICS 2014 are available via cyclefit.co.uk/ics-2014-registration.
