ACT offers business support to Raleigh dealers

Posted on in Cycles News

ACT's Tony Jones was on hand at the Raleigh 2014 Product Launch to help launch Raleigh branded digital cards and offer business support to dealers.

In one of the most hotly anticipated bike launches of the year, Raleigh introduced its 2014 range to the UK cycle trade on Monday July 22nd and Tuesday 23rd July.

The event took place at the National Motorbike Museum near Birmingham, where Raleigh dealers had the chance to find out about Raleigh's product vision for 2014, test ride electric bikes, get free entry to the Motorbike Museum and find out about Raleigh TV as well as Raleigh's new branded gift cards in partnership with ACT and The Experts Cards.

The ACT were present at the show to help launch the Raleigh branded digital cards, which are now available to purchase online, enabling Raleigh dealers to attract new customers, increase sales and achieve customer loyalty by creating their own customer engagement promotions in store.

Raleigh's Managing Director Mark Gouldthorp said: "This gift card initiative is an exciting prospect for our cycle dealers and the thousands of loyal Raleigh fans around the country.

"We are now able to offer consumers the chance to invest in the most recognisable cycling brand in the country.

"It is part of a host of packages designed to support our network of cycle dealers, giving consumers the chance to purchase and redeem their cards on Raleigh bikes, parts and accessories at over 1500 Raleigh stockists around the country."

As well as being on hand to answer dealers' queries about the cards, ACT were present at the show to engage with retailers about the variety of other business support services available as part of ACT membership.

With discussion topics ranging from Cytech training to Ride it away cycle finance, show attendees were able to have a face to face conversation with their trade association and find out about all the latest initiatives. If you missed us at the show why not have a look at what we've been up to here, or contact us to find out more about any of the services or support we offer.

What did show visitors have to say?

Liam Dunphy, Managing Director of E-bike Centres Leicester was "very impressed with the range quality and prices, with a breadth that offers everything the commuter and leisure rider would want."

Harry Cooper of Peter Hansford Cycles in Parkgate, Fareham said: "This show is a clear statement of intent for Raleigh's exciting new direction."

Reg Braddick Cycles in Cardiff said: "In terms of mechanics, weight and price these bikes are more than capable of competing with the world's best; effective and credible."

Raleigh UK's Managing Director Mark Gouldthorp said: "With the Raleigh brand we've moved things forward yet again with an expanded offering at the performance end of the market and developments in the rapidly expanding world of cyclo-cross.

"It's an exciting time for our other in-house and distributed brands too as their product offerings expand to cater for the ever growing niche markets and specialisms within cycling.

"From junior bikes to world-beating bikes, we've got pretty much all the bases covered so if there is one show the independent bike dealer can't afford to miss it's this one."
