How to get started

You can contact Appeal Business Rates on 0333 567 0924 for a free discovery call exclusive to ACT members. Please make sure you provide your Bira membership number when you call, if you're unsure of this call the ACT and ask.

 

Email info@theact.uk now with ‘Business Rates’ in the subject line and include your company name and contact number. An expert from the Appeal Business Rates team will respond promptly to assist you.

What happens next?

Appeal Business Rates will complete a Business Rates Audit. Upon completion of the Business Rates Audit, you will be informed if they believe you could have a case for appeal via the VOA. There is no obligation to proceed with the appeal process through Appeal Business Rates, however, if you do wish to progress, there is a non-refundable fee based on 5% of the rateable value of your property. 

It's important to note that a successful appeal is not guaranteed success, but the 5% fee would still be payable.
