ACT Gold Member seeking stockists for pioneering energy blocks for cyclists.

Posted on in Business News , Cycles News

ACT Gold Member Luchos, which has pioneered a new energy block for cyclists and endurance athletes that acts as a natural alternative to energy drinks and gels ladened with additives and preservatives, is seeking new stockists for its range.

Luchos bar

The energy blocks are inspired by Colombian bocadillos, a popular block made from natural guava pulp, which is packed with nutrition and beneficial minerals. Colombian cyclists have used them in competitive tournaments like the Tour de France for more than 50 years. Available flavours include Acai, Coffee and Raspberry.

In addition to tasting good, Luchos blocks also don’t cause the digestion problems that often plague cyclists.

“We are actively building our network of retailers,” says Chris Bruce-Payne, Managing Director at Luchos.

“Working directly with retailers Luchos is working to help stockists achieve the highest possible margins in these challenging economic times. There are no lengthy contracts, we keep it simple and focus on service. Retailers can order online ordering, they get fair payment terms, swift delivery and great margins.”

Another feature of the brand is it commitment to the environment. Suppliers in a 100% compostable bijao leaf wrapper, Luchos avoids the common issue of litter and waste on cycling routes, hiking trails and public paths. Wrappers can be discarded wherever without any adverse environmental impact.
