The scheme offers free try-out sessions and non-standard cycle loans to enable people to consider cycling as an active travel option for everyday journeys.

The Inclusive Cycling Experience offers free loans of a wide range of bikes and cycles. Our fleet is available in different sizes and with a variety of adaptations to meet your needs, including ebikes and non-standard ecycles.

With cycles provided by top brands, participants will also receive accessories such as a battery charger (if required), lights and a lock, along with expert support.

Loans range from one day to one month. Subject to demand, there is no limit on how many times participants can come back to try out cycles.

Try-out sessions are designed to support participants to find the best fit for their cycling needs, be that an adapted bike, a tandem or trike, options are available to ensure that needs are catered for.

These free sessions take place in Greater Manchester and Inverness, where experts will be on hand to assess skills and requirements and guide people, and provide the best cycle for them, giving them the confidence to get riding quickly and easily.

To take part, you must be over the age of 16 and be a resident living in Greater Manchester or Inverness. It is only open to people who are disabled, have a long-term health condition or self-identify as disabled. Cycles are available in order that non-disabled people can cycle alongside a disabled person should they wish to book together There is no need to attend a skills and confidence session event to apply for a loan.
