Cycling Weekly's Britain's Best Bike Shops survey

Posted on in Cycles News

Cycling Weekly is currently in the hunt for Britain's Best Bike Shops. As part of their effort to find them, they want to hear from you, bike shop owners, how conditions are in the industry.

Britain's Best Bike Shops

We know that independent retailers have had a tough time in recent years, but we also know that many of you have responded with inspiring and innovative ideas to improve the experience of your customers, who just happen to be our readers. We want to try and tell that story - the good and the bad.

That's why we're asking for you to tell Cycling Weekly about how things are in the sector by taking part in a quick survey.

At Cycling Weekly we decided to try and find Britain's Best Bike Shops because while the rise of internet has been a major challenge for local retailers, there are some things only a local bike shop can provide, such as advice on gearing for a local 10, easy access to repairs and the chance of a test ride.

Even better is the fact that bike shops come in so many different varieties, all with their own charm, from the greasy hole in the wall shop that has been the heart of the cycling community for years, to modern shiny high-end emporiums that feel more like a designer clothes boutique than a traditional bike shop.

The staff too are invariably knowledgeable and passionate assets to the local cycling community that deserve our acknowledgement.

That's why Cycling Weekly, along with sponsors Lezyne, Muc-Off and BikeZaar, want to find the best of them in a nationwide hunt for the public's favourites.
