Register now for upcoming APPGCW meeting with Chris Boardman and Brian Deegan from 'Active Travel England'

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Cycling & Walking (APPGCW) have an upcoming meeting taking place virtually on Monday the 28th of February at 4.30pm.

The APPGCW are delighted to confirm that their guest speaker will be Chris Boardman, who was recently appointed head of the new cycling and walking body in England - Active Travel England (ATE).

Chris will talk to us about his vision for the role, and some of the responsibilities that ATE will have. We will also be hearing from Brian Deegan, who joins Chris as ATE as Interim Head of Inspection.

Dates for your diary:

The following meeting will take place on Monday 21st March, when the APPGCW will be looking at the plans for the HS2 Cycleway with two DfT Ministers - Trudy Harrison and Andrew Stephenson. More details to follow.

In the coming months, the APPGCW are planning a Study Visit to Waltham Forest, the return of the Parliamentary Bike Ride and a meeting with the Road Safety Minister, Baroness Vere.
