Job Description

Bikeshak is a small shop servicing the local community. We are a Trek dealership and additionally have a cycle service and repair workshop. The business has traded since 2007 and has a solid reputation in the area.

We are looking for an experienced, time served mechanic to take charge in our workshop and become an integral part of the business. The right candidate will have demonstrable experience in all manner of bike repair with a keen eye for detail. They will have a strong work ethic and an organised and professional approach. Excellent communication and people skills are a must - building relationships with our customers is key to our business.

Candidates will also be expected to perform sales and help on the shop floor during busy periods, if required.

The role would suit a ‘self-starter’ individual, prepared to manage their own workload within a small business. This is a role that could offer significant opportunity to a driven candidate who is passionate about the cycle industry and relishes a challenge. The owner is open to conversations with interested candidates.

The shop is open Tuesday – Saturday. Closed Sunday/Monday.

Skills/Experience Required

  • Prior cycle shop experience essential
  • Cytech II or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Self-starter/motivated individual
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Excellent time management
  • ‘Can do’ attitude with desire to scale business
