Job Description
If you have a passion for bikes and want to work for an exciting and growing company this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
The Electric Bike Shop is looking for a Full Time Cycle Technician in Uckfield.
You will be responsible for the build, configuration and testing of new electric bikes, carrying out technical handovers to customers, warranty and servicing of electric bikes and also repairs and servicing of non-powered bikes.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable both fixing bicycles and talking to customers. The ideal person loves getting hands-on and is extremely process-driven. You must be able to complete repairs to an exceptional standard in a set amount of time.
Strong problem solving skills are essential and the ability to use your initiative whilst working independently plus a can do attitude and a most importantly a friendly and flexible attitude.
You should have an extensive working knowledge of bike mechanics and maintenance and a love of everything cycling, previous experience in a professional workshop together with any relevant qualification and first-hand experience of electric bikes would be great although not essential.
At times you will also assist customers in the store therefore relevant customer facing / retail experience would be a bonus.

The Electric Bike Shop takes the continued professional development of its workshop technicians very seriously and offers the opportunity to gain Cytech Level 2 or Level 3 via the apprenticeship route to all of its technicians who do not already hold a formally recognised professional qualification. This offer of training will be subject to a fair contractual retention clause.
Full-time hours: 37.5 hours per week across Monday – Sunday
