Bicycle Mechanic & Sales Assistant
Location: Long Eaton Cycles (Nottingham/Derbyshire Border)
Type: Full-Time | Workshop & Showroom Based
The Role
At Long Eaton Cycles, we don’t just sell bikes; we keep the local cycling community moving. We are looking for a skilled Bicycle Mechanic & Sales Assistant to join our team at our shop on the Nottingham/Derbyshire border.
This is a dynamic, full-time role where you’ll split your time between the precision of the workshop and the energy of the shop floor. As an authorized Giant Cycles dealer, you’ll be working with world-class engineering and helping customers find their dream ride from one of the industry’s biggest names.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position covering the following days:
* Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
(Wednesdays and Sundays off).
Wages
Negotiable, depending on experience.
Your Responsibilities
* In the Workshop: Carrying out high-quality repairs, servicing, and PDIs on a wide range of bikes, with a focus on Giant’s latest Road, MTB, and E-Bike technology.
* On the Shopfloor: Providing expert advice to customers, managing sales of Giant bikes and accessories, and helping riders find the perfect fit.
* The Shop: Assisting with stock intake, merchandising, and ensuring every customer gets a warm, professional welcome.
What You Bring to the Table
* Technical Expertise: Solid experience in a workshop environment. You are comfortable with everything from hydraulic bleeds to E-bike diagnostics (Cytech qualification is a plus).
* Sales Savvy: You’re approachable, knowledgeable, and passionate about the Giant brand and the wider cycling world.
* Versatility: You can pivot from a complex repair to a professional sales consultation without missing a beat.
