Job Description
We are seeking passionate bike mechanics of all levels to help cyclists keep their bikes & e-Bikes in top condition and support the growth of our bicycle repair and service business across south england.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of repairs including brake adjustments, gear tuning, wheel truing, drivetrain maintenance, and suspension service.
- Assemble new bicycles according to manufacturer guidelines ensuring safety and readiness for sale.
- Interact with customers to assess their needs, provide recommendations, and cost estimates.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate parts and upgrades.
- Conduct safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Ensure all repairs meet high-quality standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain a well-organized workshop and manage spare parts and tools.
- Provide excellent customer service, explain repair work, answer questions, and offer maintenance advice.
Skills/Experience Required
- Proficiency in bicycle mechanics and ability to diagnose and repair various types of bikes. (CyTech 2 - must)
- Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic is desirable.
- Knowledge of bicycle brands, models, and components.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to bicycle repairs.
- Willingness to stay updated on bicycle technology and repair techniques.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Problem-solving mindset and resilience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
