Job Description

At Chicken CycleKit we continue to grow and 100 plus years on, we are still leading the market in all two-wheeled solutions from novice cyclist to professional racer. As we increase and develop our portfolio of world-renowned and in house brands through expanding our dealer network, we are creating a company that is forward-thinking, agile, passionate and focused on providing the best customer service and selling a wide-ranging portfolio of premium cycles and accessories.

Due to further expansion of the company, we are looking for a bike assembler to join our busy workshop in Leighton Buzzard. The successful candidate will ideally have industry experience, a passion for cycling and be able to build bikes, however full training will be given for the correct applicant. If this sounds like you and you feel you have what it takes to join our hard-working team, then we would love to hear from you!

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Bike building and assembly of our Basso, Cinelli and Tifosi ranges
  • Basic maintenance, repairs and servicing
  • Providing excellent levels of customer service
  • Maintain a smart, tidy and safe working environment
  • Complete daily and weekly duties, ensuring the smooth running of the workshop

As this role is workshop based, the ideal candidate would be located close to Leighton Buzzard, LU7.

Salary is dependent on experience and is open to discussion.

Skills/Experience Required

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of cycle equipment, as you will be building bikes, or the willingness to learn
  • Be thorough and pay attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both with customers and working colleagues
  • Be able to work as part of a dynamic workshop team
  • Have the drive to achieve and the self-motivation to maintain the highest of standards
  • Have a basic computer literacy
