Going to the Cycle Show? Don't miss the ACT and Cytech

Posted on in Cycles News

With one of the UK's biggest line up of bike companies and distributors at the NEC, a visit on the trade day is an effective and efficient way to see the latest bike and product ranges for the year ahead.

The show is open exclusively to the cycle trade and press on Thursday 12 September and will be closed to the general public so the exhibiting brands and distributors can focus on your B2B requirements, making it a great day to network and do business with your suppliers all under one roof!

Register for your free trade pass today - valid for all four days of the show.

Meet with your trade representatives at stand TZ22

Whether you are a retailer, manufacturer, supplier or another exhibitor, the ACT will be on hand at the Cycle Show to discuss all we can do to help your business.

The ACT has been dedicated to the promotion of cycling for over 100 years, offering a wide range of services and support; from Cytech technical training to Ride it away cycle finance.

Information about all the services available to the cycle trade can be found online or by contacting us, however, one of the most effective ways to communicate all that the ACT have to offer is face-to-face. That's why the ACT will once again be attending the Cycle Show, discussing all aspects of your business and your membership in a time and place to suit you.

The stand can get busy, so if there's something in particular you'd like to discuss you email info@theact.org.uk with your name, company name, contact phone number and q preferred time and we'll try to make it work.

The ACT will be at the show on Thursday 12th September at stand TZ22.

Learn technical tips with Cytech - stand 3-F30

Cytech are also attending the Cycle Show and will be demonstrating key practices in bike maintenance that are useful for both the trade and public. Cytech is the internationally recognised training and accreditation scheme for bicycle technicians, delivering training and promotion of technical skills to the cycle trade and enthusiasts worldwide.

Their two seminars will be held on each of the consumer facing days of the show which includes Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of September 2019.

10.10-10.40 - Rear Gear Adjustment

It can be immensely annoying if the gears on your bike don't work as they should. In this session we'll take a deep dive into the rear gears of your bike covering how to set up and adjust the rear derailleur, check for damage and misalignment, know the different types of rear derailleur and how they relate to different cassette sizes as well as replacing a cable to keep the shifting slick.

15.30-16.00 - Front Gear Adjustment

The front derailleur can be a source of mystery for many. In this session we will show you why alignment matters, what cable tension and routing you require, the different styles of front derailleur and how to set up, care and troubleshoot them.

Want to know more about these, or any other technical topics? Stop by the Cytech stand (3-F30) on any of the four days of the show to speak to any of our experts. Whether you're looking to go on a course to learn more, or just have a couple of technical questions you need answering, Cytech will be on hand to help!

Cytech will be at the show on all days at stand 3-F30.
