Explore South Wales with the new V12 Sportive!

Posted on in Cycles News , Outdoor News

The new and exciting V12 Sportive challenges cyclists to conquer the demanding climbs of South Wales in a 75 or 100 mile route starting and finishing on the iconic Barry Island Resort.

The 100 mile routes take you east from Barry, along the coast to Newport and then over Caerphilly Mountain. After this you will get the opportunity to take on some demanding climbs in the valleys including one of the nation's favourite ups- The Bwlch! Following this the route heads back to the coast and loops around to finish on the prom where you will receive your well-deserved medal! The 75 mile route follows an equally challenging structure where you can also experience the beauty of the Welsh valley and the challenge of Caerphilly Mountain. You can then enjoy the satisfaction of looking at your chip timing and comparing the KOM section split time with others!

The event takes place on the 12th August starting at 8.30am with small departure waves. Both routes are fully marked, marshalled and stocked up with sumptuous food and drink stations along the way.

Visit the V12 Sportive online to find out more information and sign up!
