Local Bike Shop Week 2026 Celebrations this week

Posted on in Cycles News

Bike shops across the UK have been at the centre of a week-long celebration of cycling, community, and local business as Local Bike Shop Week 2026 heads into its final day tomorrow.

This year's expanded format from a day to a week-long celebration organised by the Association of Cycle Traders (ACT), has seen independent bike shops host events, treasure hunts, activities, rides, and in-store experiences throughout the week, creating a nationwide celebration that has highlighted the important role local bike shops play in their communities.

One of the standout features of this year's celebrations has been the sheer creativity and energy shown by bike shops across the country. Stores have shared their events online, showcased local cycling groups, supported community projects, and encouraged more people to discover the value of shopping local.

The week has also generated strong support across social media, with riders, cycling organisations, manufacturers, and celebrities all joining the conversation and celebrating the contribution of independent bike shops.
