Job Description

West End Cycles is one of the largest independent cycle retailers in North Wales. It is now under new ownership which has brought many changes leading to a revamped, dedicated mechanics workshop with space and tools for up to three mechanics, a dedicated electronics diagnostic room as well as a smaller front of house workshop for two mechanics to perform minor repairs. Due to an increase in work we are looking for an experienced cycle mechanic to join our team and help drive the business forward by providing consistently high-quality work and helping customers to find sensible solutions to their problems.

The role is to start in the new year, but we can be flexible on this for the right candidate.

Skills/Experience Required

Previous experience of working with all sorts of bikes is essential, as the range of services we offer is huge. A large part of our servicing is on e-bikes, so previous experience with these would be a huge benefit, but not essential as training can be provided. Qualifications would be preferable, but not essential if qualified by experience. A good understanding of the latest groupsets, from all brands including electronic shifting would be an advantage, but again not essential.

As well as a good level of experience, the right candidate will have a flexible attitude towards their work, will be reliable and good at problem solving.
