The Ebike-Centre (Stowaway Bikes Limited) are the largest electric bike specialists based on the South Coast and we work with over 20 brands of electric bikes.
Established in 2011 we were early adopters to the Ebike revolution. We are an independent, fast growing business offering a wide variety of bikes, and pride ourselves on our customer service.
In recent years, the Electric bike industry has grown immensely, and so has our business and our team. We are now seeking to recruit an experienced bike mechanic/salesperson, who is looking to grow within the company to management level.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified bike mechanic with a minimum 2 years’ experience in the bicycle industry. Experienced in working on electric bike systems, including Bosch, Yamaha, Shimano, Brose preferred, but not essential as full training can be given to the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
· Electric Bike maintenance, servicing, repair, and building
- Responsible for maintaining an efficient, productive and safe workshop
- Self-motivated and work at own initiative - pricing up jobs, maintaining consistently high standard of workmanship without supervision and work within time scales
- Works well as part of a team
- Gives effective ideas of how things could work more efficiently - new processes, equipment required etc
- Maintain a clean and tidy workshop environment
- Good communication skills - the ability to explain to customers the work that needs to be done in a clear and non-patronising manner and to give details of cost with accuracy
- Good organisational skills - prioritise jobs, maintain tidy workstation, keep paperwork in order
- Customer service - welcoming new customers and building up good working relationships to retain existing customers
- Excellent communication skills - face to face / on the phone/ emails etc
Skills/Experience Required
Skills/Experience Required
· 2 years of bike mechanic experience
· Qualified bike mechanic with general knowledge of eBikes
· Fast learner with good positive attitude towards eBikes and our environment
· Excellent organisational and with a keen eye for detail
· Experience working with eBike drive systems; Bosch, Shimano, Yamaha, preferred
· Experience with Citrus-Lime POS is preferred
· Some experience in an after-sales environment
· Proactive, ambitious, adaptable, motivated, forward thinker keen to get involved where needed
· Strong problem-solving capability
