Job Description

Richmond Cycles is a busy neighbourhood bike shop. It's the sort of place that you can come to for your first commuter bike or your latest high-end custom build. The mechanic who will treat both those bikes and their owners with the same amount of care and respect is our ideal candidate for this role. We're looking for a full or part-time mechanic.

Responsibilities will include:

• Bike building, PDI & servicing of all bike & e-bike models.

• Responsible for scheduling of workshop jobs (repair, maintenance, walk-in and bike build)

• Diagnose, repair and service customer & demo bikes.

• To manage warranty cases and maintain accurate record keeping.

• Good communication with customers regarding work in progress and any parts required for repairs.

• Advising and recommending products and services, to achieve successful sales.

• Responsible for daily opening and closing of retail premises.

• Maintain suitable level of industry knowledge and developments.

• Liaising with suppliers and other professional bodies.

Skills/Experience Required

You will have proficient bike mechanic skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferably you will be Cytech level 2 qualified or equivalent. Knowledge of e-Bikes repairs, wheel building, DI2 and electronic gear shifting is a bonus.
