Job Description

Position of bicycle technician based at our shop in Stoke on Trent. Est. 1915.

Description:

Reporting to the senior Mechanic you will undertake repairs and maintenance work on the full range of bikes from childrenís to high end specifications to DI2.

  • Assembly of new bicycles and inspect / test.
  • Ensuring check lists and other workshop records are fully maintained, with an emphasis on delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Taking bookings and enquiries, communicating with customers by telephone, electronically (Epos system) and in the shop. Dealing with customer's requests and problems.
  • Ensuring all work is undertaken with strict health and safety standards, .
  • Undertaking sales on the workshop front desk by providing a friendly and efficient service to customers.
  • Wheel building.
  • Tubular tyre fitting.

Race builds and servicing.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)

28 days annual leave (Inc. Bank Holidays)

Skills/Experience Required

Candidate:

You will have a good technical knowledge of cycle repairs, with cycle retail experience and ideally Cytech qualified. (Cycle industry qualifications, levels 1, 2 and 3.)

You will have the ability to quickly diagnose a wide variety of mechanical problems and fault find.

You will have good customer care skills, in selling associated parts and accessories, while also delivering an excellent service to a wide variety of cyclists.
